The symbolic building of Debrecen - also known as the Calvinist Rome - is the Great Reformed Church.
It is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the city, which awaits visitors all year round!
Visitors can choose between two routes:
- the so-called A-square, the ground-level church square can be visited, including the famous organ of the Great Church, the congregational stand - including the original copy of the Vizsolyi Bible - and the carousel in which Lajos Kossuth took his seat in April 1849.
- On the B-tower, next to the church square, you can see the Biblical model and painting stand, the attic, the western tower with the Rákóczi bell, and You can walk to the panoramic terrace between the two towers.
Both routes can be completed independently or with a guide.
